  • A heart too heavy

There is a woman with a heart so heavy,

Carrying burdens no one else can see.

She feels lost, longing to begin again,

yet doesn’t know where the first step should be.

Some days she dreams of leaving

    of disappearing somewhere far away,

hoping distance might quiet the storms

    that never seem to rest.

    The joy she once carried,

    the gratitude she freely gave,

the forgiveness that came so naturally

little by little, they began to fade.

    One day, she looks back

    and whispers, “What if?”

    Another day,

    she longs for the voice

that once knew the way through every storm

    the gentle light

    that always pointer her home.

    Then she aches

for the warmth of an old embrace,

a place where the world slowed down,

    where weary hearts were welcomed

    without a single word.

    And on another day,

she searches for the sturdy oak

holding questions that time never answered,

    hoping that somehow, somewhere,

    he might hear them.

She wonders why life unfolds this way.

“How is it that people you love the most

can also leave the deepest wounds?

    Yet despite the pain,

you still pray they never have to suffer.”

Her mind is filled with questions,

    but silence answers everyone.

She longs to return to Him,

to lay every burden at His feet .

    But her heart is tired,

    aching,

    and so unbearably heavy.

    Still, somewhere beneath the weight,

    a small, quiet hope remains

    that even the heaviest heart

    can one day find peace.

  • Until We Dance Again

A February night God knew I would need.

February came, the month we waited for,
A moment wrapped in quiet surprise.
A Day you never dreamed would hold
So much more than candles and wishes.

You hoped for friends, a few familiar faces,
Some food, a drink, your son nearby,
    Nothing grand, just simple joy.
And when you entered, happiness found you.

Then voices rose in song and greeting,
And suddenly, we joined the tune.
    As melodies filled the room,
    Tears fell…soft, sincere, unstoppable.

You saw us then - your three angels,
    Standing where you never expected.
    Shock gave way to wonder,
    And joy overwhelmed the air.

No words could hold what we all felt
When we hugged you close, kissed your face,
    Grateful beyond measure
    For that single, perfect moment.

You tried to hold your tears inside,
    Shielding them from our eyes,
    But your heart spoke louder,
    Speechless, happy, shaken, surprised.
That was you on your special day.

We ate, we drank, we danced as one,
    Laughter spinning through the night.

Until I realized, far too late,
That one last song would be our goodbye.

If only the music could return,
One more step, one more embrace,
One more dance that never ends,
How I long to dance with my father again.

    Until we dance again…

“If I could get another chance
    Another walk,
    Another dance with him
I’d play a song that would never ever end
    How I’d love, love, love
To dance with my father again…”

  • A quiet flame in the dark.
    She wonders what feelings hide,
    Behind her distant spark.
She longs to wander far alone.
Where no one knows her name,
A soul no one can tame.

She pretends that she is strong,
    Unshaken by the pain,
    Believing wounds won’t reach her.

But tears betray her in the silence,
    Falling fierce, like endless rain,
Each drop a truth she’s hiding,
Each breath heavy with her pain.

There’s a weight upon her chest,
    That no one ever sees.
    She shatters in the quiet,
    Falls softly to her knees.

    And in that unseen breaking,
    Where shadows feel like proof,
    Her sorrow speaks the loudest,
And her sadness becomes her truth.

  • Dreaming in Darkness: A Nighttime Journey

It was deep into the night

    I wandered through a maze,

    draped in a red dress.

    Darkness surrounded me—

    yet somehow, I could see…

see things that felt strangely familiar.

    Images began to appear—

    faces I didn’t recognize,

yet names danced on the edge of my mind.

    I cried out to them,

    shouted with all I had—

but not a sound reached their ears.

Then, the rain came crashing down.

    Cold, relentless.

My body tingled, then went numb.

I felt the strength drain from me,

my limbs slipping out of control.

    I saw myself sinking…

    and realized—

    I was dreaming all along.

  • Hearing and listening (an old journal of mine)

I was browsing my notes apps on my mobile and I saw my old journal and the message that was shared 7 years ago from our YA (young adult) group bible study. This is about the difference between hearing and listening and finding a loyal someone to you. I just want to share and pass this message to you in case it might help.

Please take time to read, this is for you. 🙂

2016 Bible study group with YAs. Sis Cath shared this message.

Listening is probably the most important skills in building friendship and relationships, because you can’t love people without listening to them.

There’s a BIG difference between hearing and listening. You can hear something and not really be listening. I can’t tell you how many arguments I’ve had with my kids and wife because I was listening to words instead of the emotions. Sometimes the words don’t even matter. Somebody can say to you, “I’m fine,” but the way they say it tells you they’re not fine. Listening means you also hear what the person isn’t saying.

That’s called empathy. Empathy means to put yourself in others person’s shoes. Learn their point of view. Ask yourself, “How would I feel if I were in that situation?”

Listening with empathy means you listen without interruption and you listen for fears and feelings. You listen for what they aren’t saying. You’re not trying to fix the situation. Sometimes healing comes just by listening!

As Romans 15:2 say, “we must bear the ‘burden’ of being considerate of the doubts and fears of others.’ (TLB)

What does it mean to be considerate or to bear the burden of a doubt of others? That means that when people are so much in pain and hurting so badly that they don’t even know what they believe… they need the devotion of a loyal friend- someone who will be present and listen with empathy.

Proverbs 21:21. ‘He who pursues righteousness and loyalty finds life, righteousness and honor.’

    My Application.

But who is that loyal friend of yours that will listen to you with empathy? That will never leave you? And will continue to work on you until the end? Is it your family, your friends, your wife or husband, your parents, your colleague? Or is it the person next beside you?

Sometimes we feel like we are alone despite having a family and friends. We are busy looking for someone who will listen, who will calm our heart and mind and who will fix the situation without knowing that there is someone who is waiting for you to just open up to him.

It took me years before I realized what it really meant to be a listener and a hearer, what it really meant by having someone who hears and listened to you without saying a word from your mouth.  I did realized that I actually have one loyal friend who has been there with me whenever I’m down or happy and stayed with me and listened to me. It was just I was hearing his words before and not really listening to it. But now I’m glad and blessed that I have him in my life and forever will be. ❤

‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ Jeremiah 33:3 | NIV |

    God bless everyone! 😊
